Is WEMASA a registered organisation?
Yes. WEMASA Tanzania Organization is a non-governmental organisation registered in 2021 under Tanzania’s NGO Act, Registration No. ooNGO/R/2395, with a national area of operation.
Where does WEMASA work?
We are registered to operate nationally. Most of our current programmes take place in Dar es Salaam, especially Temeke District, and we are expanding to new communities with our partners.
How are donations used?
Donations fund programme activities such as training materials, cleanup equipment, tree seedlings, school awareness sessions and community mobilisation. We issue receipts and share reports on results.
Can I volunteer without an environmental background?
Absolutely. Our volunteers include students, professionals and community members. We provide orientation, and there are roles in field activities, communications, data collection and more.
